A Woman's Haiku

February 6, 2018

I have endured sleepless nights and restless days.  Worn down by the double standards of life, my thoughts prevent me from defeating these fights.  Intellect, flaws, body image, complexion – what imperfection do I concentrate on next?

So much money is shelled out to make us look our best, but we never FEEL any better.  Our minds continue to torture us in regards to self-worth.  Mentally beating ourselves up then crushed even more by the benchmarks of beauty.

Fake, plastic, dull, senseless, naïve, slut, whore, tease, prude, dumb, stupid, cunt, average à “I’m so lucky that I’m pretty”

All of that MEANS NOTHING unless I choose for it to mean something.  We all have a choice every day to decide what to focus our attention on.  Focus on this:  The truth in the matter is that we are not 2D nor are we 3D.  We are multi-dimensional.  Some may belittle us and others may label us.  It isn’t up to them!  I AM WHO I SAY I AM.

I choose to do good and to believe in good, and so can you.  A more in-depth look into my personal journey and revelations ---here--- on my latest podcast!
